  • Explain Packed Cell Volume (PCV) and how it varies
  • Describe the main plasma proteins and their roles
  • Describe how red blood cells are produced, including the roles of the liver, spleen and kidneys
  • Describe the process of red blood cell turnover
  • Explain the process of how blood clots (haemostasis)
